Nudists Clean Up the Beach On September 19 beach lovers gathered on the Assateague Island National Seashore to help clean up the beach for the Assateague Island Beach Cleanup.This annual event shows how much nudists care about this wonderful beach area. The event coincided with Maryland Coast Day so Assateague volunteers participated in Coast Day festivities which included live music, local cuisine, crafts for kids, and many fun interactive exhibits. Sneak Peek: 2010 AANR Convention The very succesful 2009 AANR Convention at Oaklake Trails is over and is a wonderful memory for all who attended. It's almost a year away but it's not too early to be thinking about the 2010 AANR Convention to be held at Sun Meadow Resort in Worley, Idaho, August 9-16, 2010. Known for its outstanding performance series, Sun Meadow begins the fun on August 6 with nine consecutive nights of national and international entertainment. Whether one likes 1920s and 1930s jazz, marimba rhythms, physical comedy, string band music, ragtime and boogie woogie, original folk music, or a Caribbean style DJ, there is something for everyone on the Sun Meadow stage. Sun Meadow Resort is in the beautiful Idaho panhandle, with large lakes surrounded by national forests. The lakeside city of Coeur d'Alene is 35 miles north of Sun Meadow. Spokane, Washington is 40 miles northwest and western Montana is a short drive east on I-90. Coeur d'Alene Lake, and Chatcolet Lake, which is surrounded by 5,505 acre Heyburn State Park (plus 2,333 acres of water) are just a few miles east of Sun Meadow. Visitors can go boating, waterskiing, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. Daily cruises on the "Idaho" include scenic interpretive information, luncheon, and sunset dinner cruises. AANR Clubs in the News It's been a busy summer at Rock Haven Lodge in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. In July, the resort helped set a Guinness World Record by participating in The AANR World Record Skinny-Dip on July 11. Nude volleyball and tennis are two of the most popular activities at the club. Conveniently located just 35 miles southwest of Nashville, Rock Haven is a popular stopping off point especially for visitors who are music lovers and want to take in the Grand Old Opry, Music City USA, and the Country Music Hall of Fame. The resort is so popular it was the subject of a lengthy article in The Tennessean.
