How to Volunteer
There are many ways that you can assist the AANR Government Affairs Team. Some require very little time, others a greater commitment. We deeply appreciate these combined efforts, which provide a powerful force of advocacy for nude recreation:
Make a Donation – Even small financial contributions make a big difference! Click here for information about how to donate and where your money goes.
Subscribe to the AANR Undressed Press and Facebook page – When you subscribe to these electronic and online sources you help advocate for nudity within appropriate settings in some very important ways. You increase the number of persons who have “stood to be counted” as saying that this issue is important to you. AANR makes policymakers aware of these numbers, and growing numbers make our voice stronger. The Undressed Press and Facebook are also great ways to communicate with our supporters in emergencies when help is needed to stop problem legislation with emails, faxes, and letters.
Become a Member – Membership in the Association entitles you to some great benefits, but it also provides crucial membership dues that fund the lion’s share of the advocacy we do. You will receive a monthly edition of our members’ newspaper, The Bulletin, with more details about what is happening in clubs and in Government Affairs than we’re sometimes able to share with the online world. Click here to join or renew your membership.
Read your local newspaper, blogs, and online sources – Communication works both ways. Our advocates help significantly by listening and watching for news of developments that could affect enjoyment of nudity and relaying that news back to AANR. If you have any information you believe would be helpful, please log in to your member account and click on Send GAT Alert in the right margin to notify your regional GAT Chair of any information or local legislation that affect your right to enjoy nude recreation.
Apply to join the AANR Government Affairs Team of volunteers – We can always use people at the state and region level. State level volunteers generally focus efforts on their locale and may also take training to better represent AANR before local government or state legislatures. Region volunteers coordinate advocacy efforts for a range of states and make regular visits to Washington, D.C. , providing a voice for nude recreation with members of Congress and their staff, as well as with officials in federal agencies.
