Popular Nude Beach Cracks Down on Nudity San Onofre State Beach, the 1,000 foot stretch of beach along high rocky cliffs in northern San Diego County, California, is in danger of losing its nude beach status. The state is cracking down on nudity at the San Onofre Trail 6 area, and park rangers have begun warning nude sunbathers that they will be cited in violation of the law beginning September 1. The beach has been popular with nudists for decades, and over 2 million people visited San Onofre last year. AANR supported the Naturist Action Committee (NAC) Action Alert posted in May, along with the efforts of the Friends of San Onofre Beach (FOSOB) and offered assitance. AANR is engaged in ongoing direct discussion with senior staff at the California Parks and Recreation Department concerning nude status at San Onofre Beach. Nudists Featured in Honda Commercial Honda's new television commercial for the Honda Pilot is getting lots of attention. In the ad, a father and son driving a Pilot come across a group of nudists in a hot air balloon on the side of the road who need a ride. While the commercial may not be entirely positive, the fact that Honda chose to portray nudists in the ad and the networks have been airing it continuously, definitely is and shows how mainstream nude recreation has become. Watch the video Sky Farm Crusades Against Breast Cancer Sky Farm, located in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, and one of the country's oldest nudist resorts, is holding an open house on June 21 to raise money for the Avon Foundation for Breast Cancer. The event will include live music poolside, a barbecue, door prizes and use of Sky Farm amenities. The Avon Breast Cancer Crusade has made a significant and lasting difference in five critical areas: awareness and education; screeing and diagnosis; access to treatment; support services; and scientific research, all with a focus on the medically underserved.
