The World of Nude Recreation As Told By You
Welcome to the world of nude recreation as told by YOU our AANR members and friends. Reading about how people experience life similarly to you is quite interesting for most people. Let’s face it, there are not many places to find out how people experience the nudist lifestyle. These are YOUR pages where you get to tell your story and read the stories as written by fellow members and friends of the American Association for Nude Recreation. We ask that you tell your story, submitted in a user-generated format, about your experience on a variety of topics relating to the nudist lifestyle.
Be confident you will write something informative, entertaining and relevant in telling what it’s like to enjoy our favorite recreation choice. Maybe you could write about your first nudist experience or first visit to an AANR resort or a nude beach. How about submitting your personal story including how you became a nudist? Tell how being has nudist affected your life. How did you tell your family and friends that you are a nudist? What is it like being part of the nudist community—the world of nude recreation? We have created some main titles on the website. Please feel free to submit your story.
Please note: Although we ask for your email address for verification and notification, no personal information will ever appear on this page without your permission, and your email address will never be shared or added to any mailing lists without your express permission. We reserve the right to edit or refuse any submissions.
Remember how much fun it was? The sprinkler came on, the hose finished filling the backyard pool, or you pulled up to the ole swimming hole. Off came all your clothes and your worries. Your bare body felt the kiss of the air, the sun and the water. What pure innocent joy! What is your Best Skinny-Dip Experience?
Have you come out of the clothes closet? Harvey Milk once said, "We will not win our rights by staying silently in our closets." He declared, "I am tired of the conspiracy of silence, so I'm going to talk about it. And I want you to talk about it. You must come out. Come out to your parents, your relatives." Have you come out of the clothes closet and proudly announced that you're a nudist? Share your experience here.
Nudism and health have always been synonymous. The ancient Greeks performed feats of strength and skill during the first Olympics, the earliest documented form of nude recreation. As the colonial era gave way to a free and independent United States of America, "radical thinkers," including Benjamin Franklin, John Quincy Adams and Henry David Thoreau, publicity lauded the benefits in daily naked walks, or as they were called, "air baths." Today’s nudists recognize the importance of health as well and appreciate the balance of physical and emotional health benefits that nudism provides.
Like your first kiss, every nudist remembers the first time they experienced nude recreation. Maybe there was a feeling of nervousness. Maybe you just went for it. The liberating feeling of the breeze and the warmth of the sun on bare skin was enough to make you never want to look back. What was your first experience like? How did you get involved in nudism? How did it affect your life and/or what impact does it have on your life today?
Nudists love to travel. Whether it’s taking a Nakation to your favorite AANR-affiliated nudist resort or club, a nude cruise, a day at a nude beach or piling the family in the RV and traveling to a variety of clothing-optional locations, there are always stories to tell. What is your favorite nudist travel story?
Nudists are social. Anyone who has visited a nudist resort can tell you the highlight of the visit is the gathering of fellow nudists at the pool or in the conversation pool or around a friend’s RV for the community BBQ or sharing drinks on a casita patio. Do you enjoy taking part in landed or nonlanded club events? In the winter, nudists enjoy connecting with other nudists on the Internet in online communities like Facebook or other online web forums, message boards and venues. How are you connecting with other nudists? Do you prefer face-to-face socializing or are you using social media to stay in touch?
How did you and/or your family make the decision as nudists to discuss your lifestyle choice with family and friends? The more nudists who share that part of their life, the easier it is for others to make the same decision. Contribute your story about how much you, as an individual or with your family, enjoy nude recreation and help erase the mystery.
Women often have issues unique to their gender regarding nudity. Women struggle with body acceptance more often than men. They think they are too plump, too thin, too old, or not attractive enough. Maybe they are a breast cancer survivor or struggle with other health issues. Or maybe they are strong and fit and have always felt comfortable in their own skin. How does being a nudist help you be comfortable with your body?
