The AANR PR Committee is beginning work on a renewed Speakers Bureau, and we’re inviting AANR members who are interested in public speaking, education, and outreach to be part of it.
This new phase of the Speakers Bureau is focused on building a collaborative group of people who want to help shape how AANR speaks to the public. The goal is to bring together experienced speakers, curious newcomers, and anyone interested in developing their voice as a naturist advocate, and to work collectively on the skills and materials needed for effective public engagement.
Participants in the Speakers Bureau will help develop shared talking points, workshop speech ideas, and think through how different audiences, nudist and textile alike, respond to conversations about naturism. The group will also collaborate on identifying potential speaking opportunities, reviewing calls for proposals, workshopping applications, and helping one another refine presentations and creative briefs.
This effort is about education and mutual support as much as it is about outreach. Many members already speak informally at clubs, events, or in their communities. The Speakers Bureau is intended to help connect those efforts, offer structure and feedback, and foster a new generation of thoughtful, well-prepared ambassadors for AANR. You do not need to be a professional speaker to participate. If you enjoy explaining naturism to friends, have experience presenting in other contexts, or simply want to learn how to speak more confidently about nudism and AANR’s values, there is a place for you in this conversation.
The committee is especially interested in a range of voices, backgrounds, and perspectives, recognizing that effective public education depends on authenticity and diversity of experience. At this stage, participation is exploratory and collaborative. The PR Committee is focused on listening, gathering interest, and shaping the Speakers Bureau together with those who want to be involved.
