Voting, Sun, and Fun

June marks the beginning of summer in the Northern Hemisphere and is often associated with longer days, warmer weather, and outdoor celebrations, and is welcomed with open arms by those who have spent the cold winter months indoors.
The month is believed to be named after the Roman goddess Juno, the protector of marriage and women, which may help explain why June has long been a popular time for weddings.
There are also several important events taking place this month. Voting for AANR President, Vice President, Regional Trustees, and ballot initiatives will close on June 20 at 11:59 p.m. EDT. Members are encouraged to vote early to ensure their choice is recorded. If assistance is needed, please contact the AANR office at 1-800-TRY-NUDE. Once the ballots are verified and tallied by a third-party vendor, results will be conveyed to the AANR office in late June.
Another highlight is the summer solstice on June 21, marking the first official day of summer and bringing the longest day and shortest night of the year.
June also marks the beginning of Regional Conventions, beginning with the Southwest Region. I look forward to returning to Star Ranch and participating in the meetings.
As the season begins, take the opportunity to get outdoors, enjoy the sunshine, and embrace the many benefits of nude recreation.

Linda Weber

AANR President
