A Month of Gratitude

Two months into the New Year, the vast majority of people still adhering to their New Year’s Resolutions is relatively low, so congratulations to those of you who are still on track for your goals. For those who hit a bump in the road, on February 1, you can hit the reset button and resume working towards your goals for the rest of the year.

The AANR Mid-Winter Meeting occurs the first weekend of February at Suwannee Valley Resort. For members who would like to join us online, please log in to the AANR.com Member Portal to find the Zoom link.

February 14 is the day we often express our heartfelt love to those who are special in our lives. It is also a great time to convey our gratitude to those who make a difference in our lives. For me, this represents a time to thank the people who work to make AANR an organization we can be proud of.

In December, after meeting with the Budget Committee, I spent time with the AANR employees in the office. What a hardworking bunch of folks they are!

The Committee Chairs meet with their committees monthly or more often, and real progress is being made. I am always grateful to get feedback that the effort the committees are putting in is making a difference to the members. This is where the work is being done, and I thank everyone on the committees for their dedication.

The Regions and their Boards work with the clubs and affiliated businesses in their respective regions to help them operate at their best for our members.

Your Board – myself, Patty Faber, Vice President; Mitch London, Secretary/Treasurer; and Executive Director Erich Schuttauf – all work behind the scenes outside of the meetings to address issues that affect our organization and our membership.

The Trustees vote on the work the Committees do to ensure it is in the best interests of our membership.

At the top of the AANR Organizational Chart are our Members. That is YOU. All of the above people are dedicated to the preservation of nude recreation and do this for our members. Without our members, we couldn’t exist, and the thought of not having an organization dedicated to allowing us the ability to enjoy a nude philosophy is unimaginable. AANR celebrates its 95th year in 2026, in the pursuit of our 100th in 2031. Thank you to all of our members. If you are reading this and are not a member yet, please consider joining an organization that preserves the right to allow you to read this magazine in the nude.
