AANR Convention 2025 – From Awards to Initiatives
The AANR Convention was held at Oaklake Trails Resort in Oklahoma this year. The weather cooperated to give us a nice few days to get out and avail ourselves of the amenities when the meetings concluded.
The Convention gives us a chance to recognize and appreciate the individuals who not only embrace the AANR standards but go above and beyond in their work to promote wholesome, family-friendly, non-sexual nudism. The list of Award recipients can be found in this issue along with recaps from the Regional Conventions that convened before the National Convention.
Of note, Tim Mullins and Kathy Smith are our newest Hall of Fame inductees. The Hall of Fame is our most prestigious award and the bar is set high for those who are nominated.
In addition to these two individuals, the Jim Cossins Memorial Award went to George Oberle for his outstanding work on the AANR.com website and his revitalized vision for Membership Marketing, which has already produced impressive results. BG Parkes was recognized for her foresight in securing the Florida Lobbyist contract and her dedication to supporting fellow clubs. Andee and Tom Rodgers for their continued work with the “WINR on Wheels” campaign, traveling throughout the US and Canada to educate and inspire women about WINR and AANR.
Warm congratulations and gratitude to each of these honorees for their invaluable contributions.
Other topics discussed at the Meetings: Membership is on the rise, the Young Adult Diversity Advisory Council in conjunction with the PR Committee, launched the successful “#MyNudeStory” video initiative, and the Auto-Pay option for automatic renewal is in effect for Direct members.
Thank you to those who attended the Convention in person or via Zoom. We work on behalf of you, our members, and this is a chance to see what Leadership is doing for in your Region as well as Nationally.
We are already hearing about next year’s 2026 AANR Convention which will be held at the Willamettans in Oregon. The club is excited to host us and the Conventions & Facilities Chair, Jenny Agee, AANR-Northwest Trustee, has promised us a great slate of events available after the meetings each day.
