AANR Naturist Choice Award Results
The American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR) is proud to present the results of the 2026 AANR Naturist Choice Awards!
The categories were developed by the AANR Marketing Committee and carefully designed to capture where Naturists prefer to go nude, favorite resorts, nude beaches, and naturist websites. We also asked voters to rank the importance of AANR outreach on behalf of the Naturist Community. I feel it is important to ensure that AANR is not only listening to what our members want and enjoy in nude recreation, but also to reach out to those who are not members to give them a voice. The survey was open to both AANR Members and unaffiliated Nudists alike, allowing people outside the organization to participate, offering a broader range of insights and perspectives from across the greater naturist community.
Methodology
From January 10th through February 15th of 2026, we offered a survey on the AANR.com website for Naturists to vote for their favorite places to enjoy non-sexual nude recreation. We kept it simple with just five survey categories: Favorite Nudist Resort, Nude in Nature Spot, Non-Landed Nudist Social Club, Naturist Website, and Naturist Social Media Account. Each of the questions was followed with an open comment field “Why is this your Favorite.” While this was not a truly scientific approach, we received 936 votes. After removing duplicate votes, we ended up with a remaining 914 votes. We had three committee members tally the votes separately, resulting in the Top Five Favorites in each category. Below are the results, along with selected voter comments explaining why their choice was a favorite.
Favorite Naturist Resorts
#1 – Suwannee Valley Resort – White Springs, Florida
“Lets start with the owners. These are people who have a firm commitment to the principles that are the basis of AANR and the Naturist community. You know they will fight to keep your right to be a naturist, they will sacrifice for that fight their time, their money and so much effort. Because the owners set the standard, the members here at SVR embrace the same passion and commitment of the naturist life. These members are engaging, friendly, helpful and loyal.”
“Very friendly people. Military/veteran/first responder friendly. We are treated like family. We visited once when there was a walking Hors d’oeuvre and cocktail tour. Wife was in a boot and could not walk well enough to do the tour. We had 3 offers from residents to drive her in a golf cart and the office arranged a free golf cart for us to drive so we could take the tour.”
“I watched Tom and BG start Suwannee Valley Resort from nothing. Literally helped install the privacy fence. Our SVR family began very small but over years it has grown into an incredible resort we call home. The laid back atmosphere, easy, friendly and welcoming. The entertainment is always spot on as well as too many annual events to name that we members, for years, look forward to. The food served is five stars and the cocktails are even better! Thank you SVR!”
#2 – Glen Eden Sun Club – Temescal, California
“I love the ambiance, the size of the grounds, and how well-maintained it is. I also love the tent camping area. Their community of members and residents I’ve met and been around are always pleasurable, and the place is always buzzing with activity. Pickleball, volleyball, walkers, hikers…every day starting early morning. It’s a very positive, vibrant and lively atmosphere.”
“The amenities and the beautiful grounds of the resort along with the friendly environment makes this resort my favorite. Everyone here at Glen Eden is friendly and it’s easy to make new friends. Highly recommend Glen Eden to anyone looking for a safe and peaceful environment to enjoy the sun with like-minded individuals who enjoy the nudist lifestyle.”
Incredibly friendly people, gorgeous grounds maintained by an all-volunteer group supported by several full-time employees. Forward-looking administration and the only member-owned corporation (to my knowledge) in the United States. Safe, gorgeous grounds with five pools, six tennis courts, five Pickleball courts, hiking trails, a pitch and putt course, an art studio for ceramics and glass—hundreds of classes of all stripes to attend in art and dance. Social events and themed dances throughout the year. Serenity brought through yoga and meditation areas. Secure, yet only a quarter mile from shopping! What’s not to love!”
#3 – Laguna Del Sol – Wilton, California
“The people first, Laguna is a community of caring people of many different backgrounds, the grounds are stunning 309+ acres of green, with a lake, access to the Cosumnes River and so much wildlife. It’s paradise!”
“Laguna del Sol has quickly become my favorite resort because it truly offers the complete package. Even compared to other locations I’ve visited, it stands out due to its vibrant atmosphere and the impressive variety of events they host, ensuring there is always something engaging to do. The property itself is stunning, situated right on a lake with beautiful trails that are perfect for a long walk. What really sets it apart for me is how well-rounded the amenities are, including the dedicated dog park which makes it so much easier to enjoy the trip. Between the social gatherings, the natural lakeside setting, and the active outdoor spaces, the resort provides a perfect balance where there is truly something for everyone to enjoy.”
“The amenities like the restaurant, the pool, the lake, the hot tubs, weight room, game room, dances, etc. Hotel rooms, RV and tent camping allow various levels of comfort. It has something for everyone.”
#4 – White Tail Resort – Ivor, Virginia
“The people there are second to none!!! The owner Bob, and his staff put their heart and soul into making White Tail a wonderful place to be!”
“It’s very family-friendly for starters and that’s exactly what my wife and I were looking for to introduce our kids to the community. The resort is amazing with all the amenities they offer, and the people and the resort are even better.”
“The people there are so welcoming and friendly. Not once did we feel awkward, out of place or like we didn’t belong!! It is a relaxing, fun place with great people, food, activities and events!”
#5 – Cypress Cove Nudist Resort – Kissimmee, Florida
“The community and the staff. Every time we go there something on the grounds or rooms have been improved. It is a family owned business and it shows the pride they have in their resort. Also since we usually stay for two weeks and are not campers or have a mobile home we stay at the Villas and they are remarkably clean and well maintained. And there is always something going on for the guest to partake in. It is well run, well maintained and a great staff.”
“Cypress Cove is my favorite naturist resort because it reflects the core values of naturism in an authentic, everyday way. It’s welcoming, well maintained, and grounded in the understanding that nudity is natural. It’s a place where I can relax, enjoy being outdoors, be myself, and feel connected to a respectful community.”
“I think just the combo of weather and the scale of the park, the amenities… it’s possibly the best-known club in America but having spent a few weeks there I definitely can understand its status.”
Honorable Mention: Favorite Naturist Resorts
#6 – Mountain Air Ranch – Colorado
#7 – Shangri-la Ranch Resort – Arizona
#8 – Bare Oaks Family Naturist Park – Ontario, Canada
#9 – Lake Bronson – Washington
#10 – Whispering Pines Nudist Resort – North Carolina
Favorite Non-landed or Social/Travel Clubs

Non-Landed Social Clubs do not have facilities; local nudists who get together for social activities without owning or operating their own property. Instead of a resort or campground, these clubs meet in members’ homes, rented venues, nudist resorts, beaches, or other appropriate locations. The focus is simple: friendship, comfort with social nudity, and shared experiences close to home. An initiative AANR President Linda Weber brought forth and fostered, commented: “We have seen tremendous growth in non-landed clubs in the last year and a half, which provides the ability to bring nudists together socially for those geographically distant from a brick and mortar resort.” Here are the top five Naturist choices:
#1 Rocky Mountain Naturist Club – Colorado
“The Rocky Mountain Naturists Club is the best nudist social club for me because it offers the perfect balance of variety and community without being tied to a single location. As a non-landed, AANR-affiliated club, RMNC provides a more flexible and affordable way to enjoy the naturist lifestyle, hosting monthly social events that range from pool parties and potlucks to group outings at various Colorado hot springs and resorts like Mountain Air Ranch. This “mobile” nature keeps the experience fresh and allows me to connect with a diverse group of like-minded people in different settings across the Front Range. It’s a social-first community that prioritizes authentic friendship and body positivity over property maintenance, making it the ideal choice for someone who values a sense of adventure and a welcoming, active social calendar.”
“Variety in events, from small potlucks and craft events, to larger events like Nude comedy shows and nude bowling. They plan event trips to other nudist resorts, as well as excursions to resorts in other countries.”
“I love the all-inclusiveness of it, but the fact that there are not just men, but women at most events as well. Jeff runs it so well, he makes everyone feel welcome and has events that are almost always maxed out on attendance.”
#2 Southern California Naturist Association (SCNA) – California
“Outstanding leadership, great programs, lots of participation, always looking for new things for members to participate in.”
“Consistent strong representation for naturist interests in Southern California since 2001, along with a full calendar of events, even though it is a non-landed organization. The club and its members step up to take leadership positions when needed, including the AANR West Board, Los Angeles World Naked Bike Ride, Bates Beach clothing optional presence, and leadership in the other national association when it needed help.”
“Well-run club, always active with a wide variety of events year round. Friendly, welcoming members! And this club is very active with other nudist organizations and the greater naturist community overall they have active association and cooperation with AANR, TNS, Glen Eden, NiTOC, the World Naked Bike Ride, just to name a few!”
#3 Indiana Naturists – Indiana
“A variety of events throughout the year from bowling, meet ups and members’ homes and resort trips. Background checks are done on all members to ensure a safe environment.”
“First, it is the people that are members and the excellent team that manages the club. They are very active with both private club-only events at private locations in addition to travel events at other nudist resorts.”
“Many engaging activities throughout the year including nude bowling, monthly events at members’ homes, skinny dips and resort visits.”
#4 First Coast Naturists – Florida
“Great leadership, lots of activities, good mix of people.”
“It’s local. Lots of friendly people.”
“Nice club with many events to choose from.”
#5 Tahoe Area Naturists (TAN) – Nevada
Selected Comments:
“The non-landed club holds monthly potlucks in the summer at Creek Beach on the East Shore of Lake Tahoe. The members are very friendly and welcoming. In June they do a highway cleanup and in August they celebrate Hat Day.”
“It has all my friends. It was my first club. It’s where I learned to be comfortable with my body.”
“The people and the decades supporting Creek Beach.”

I can clearly imagine my parents (R.I.P.) reaction to my confession to being a nudist. “ARE YOU CRACKING UP?!” I honestly wish I had tried nudism much sooner.
Got that reaction from my adult kids when I told them!
